Rauha´s Sauna

The Rauha´s Sauna offers an authentic experience from decades gone by! The current changing room is where the laundry was once washed, and then dried in the sauna. The old benches and panelling have been washed and waxed, but otherwise we’ve deliberately left the atmosphere unchanged. Only the new, eco-friendly, wood-fired stove represents modern technology :) Washing is also done the old-fashioned way, by mixing cold and hot water in your own basin.

The small log sauna building is situated on the other side of the courtyard, and it’s a lovely little stroll over there in your sauna robe. The benches can accommodate 4–5 people at a time, and the sheltered terrace is a lovely place to cool off between rounds of steam.
