Supervision is a process of exploring, structuring, understanding, evaluating and developing your own work together with a trained supervisor. The aim is often to improve well-being at work and, on the other hand, to increase understanding of work-related phenomena. It can open up new perspectives and provide a place to explore the experiences and emotions of work and the different roles it can play. The objectives of work counselling are always set on an individual/group basis and evaluated at regular intervals.

At Wanha Koulun Rauha, supervision is provided by Kirsi Tuomi, PhD, music and interaction therapist, supervisor (STOry). Kirsi's training as a supervisor is dialogic and resource-oriented and her specialisation focuses on child protection, attachment trauma, early interaction and its treatment, and family-centred work. With over 15 years of work experience as a counsellor, Kirsi has counselled social and health care professionals such as social workers and counsellors, family workers, home care workers, therapists, doctors, nurses, psychologists, local nurses, foster and adoptive parents. Currently, Kirsi works as a work supervisor for students of the Eino Roiha Institute's professional music therapy course.
