Apartment accommodation for 5–6 people

The flat, which has its own entrance, is situated on the ground floor of the school. The flat has two bedrooms, a small entrance hall and a living room, which is divided by a room divider into a sleeping area (for two), a lounge area and a space reserved for an infrared sauna. The flat has a well-equipped kitchen (hob with oven, fridge, crockery for cooking and dining, coffee maker, kettle and microwave) as well as a toilet and shower room. Access to the kitchen and the toilet/shower room is via the waiting area of the physiotherapy clinic. The toilet is also used by physiotherapy clients (infrequently in summer) on a few days a week, between 10.00 and 18.00 at the latest.

The bedroom area of the flat was originally an old woodwork classroom and features the school’s only surviving wooden floors. The original classroom has been divided by partition walls into an entrance hall, a small foyer and two bedrooms. There is no soundproofing between the bedrooms. The flat is partially underground, but the many windows still make the space bright. In the summer heat, the flat is often pleasantly cool, but an air-source heat pump in the larger bedroom also provides cooling or heating as required. The small entrance hall has a water tap and a small table with chairs.

The smaller bedroom has a queen-size Rococo-style double bed. The door to the room was found in a school storeroom and now serves as a sliding door for the bedroom. The old washstand is a family heirloom from Kirs’s family in South Ostrobothnia. The room also features a chest of drawers for storage and a plush armchair.

The other, larger room is known as the music room, as it previously served as Rauha’s music therapy space. The room therefore still contains musical instruments, which are also available for use by careful and considerate guests :) The room features an old pull-out bed, which has been passed down through Kirs’s family. In addition, the room has a high-quality corner sofa bed that easily converts into a bed for 1–2 people. The room also has armchairs, offering a more private space to relax.

The living area (known as the ‘Olotupa’) is the school’s former canteen and has been divided into three sections by partitions. In addition to the sleeping area, you’ll have access to an infrared sauna (separate booking, €20/hour), a darts board, a small library, a dining table, a sofa and comfortable wicker chairs. You are welcome to use the school grounds and the terrace in front of the building for relaxation. Free parking spaces are available in front of the building.

In summer, the playground features a sandpit made from an old boat, as well as swings and a trampoline, which guests may use at their own risk. In winter, weather permitting, you can skate and play on the ice rink in the school grounds, and a 12 km cross-country ski trail circling Lake Lehijärvi starts from the nearby beach. In summer, the ice rink offers the chance to play pickleball, and the refurbished beach, complete with jetties and changing rooms, is about 500 metres from the school.

The flat is equipped with high-quality duvets and pillows; in addition, a bed linen set (duvet cover, fitted sheet, pillowcase and bath towel) can be ordered separately for €15 per set. The pet fee is €20 per stay. The electric car charging point is available by arrangement, at €10 per charge plus VAT.

The wood-fired garden sauna, which has been restored to its original condition, is available for a supplementary charge of €20 per hour, plus €10 for each subsequent hour. Breakfast , served in the banquet hall upon separate request , is €15 per person ; a raclette dinner in the banquet hall at a beautifully laid table is €40 per person*. The minimum number of people for food orders is 4. See below for further details.

You can also book a private session of yin yoga, restorative yoga and/or singing bowl relaxation for your group. The minimum group size is 3 people, and the price is €75 for 60 minutes + €15 per additional person, or €100 for 90 minutes €100 + €20 per additional person. A popular option, for example, is 60 minutes of Yin Yoga followed by 30 minutes of singing bowl relaxation. We provide all the equipment needed for the activities; you just need to wear comfortable, flexible clothing. We also recommend dressing in layers, wearing woollen socks and bringing your own water bottle.

Individual treatments on offer include massage, peat bath treatments and personalised singing bowl relaxation sessions played directly on the body. Find out more on our website or ask us directly.

In summer 2026 (after Midsummer), the school will host a pop-up summer lunch café on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12:00 to 16:30. On offer will be a summer soup + bread roll + coffee/ice cream (€12) as well as sweet treats that change weekly. On Mondays, after the café closes, from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm, we’ll be offering yin yoga and singing bowl relaxation sessions, which you can sign up for when you make your booking. We provide all the equipment you need – just come along in comfortable clothes <3

*) A breakfast served in the function room (€15), to be ordered separately, includes bread, spreads, cheese, cold cuts, salad, cucumber, boiled eggs, porridge with homemade apple compote, fruit, fresh juice, coffee and tea. Bookable for a minimum of four people.

**) A raclette dinner, to be ordered separately and beautifully laid out in the banquet hall, includes a selection of melting cheeses (200g per person). The cheese is served with boiled potatoes, three different cold cuts, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, steamed asparagus, pickled onions, marinated olives, mushrooms and grapes. Baguette and spreads are also provided. Special dietary requirements will be catered for where necessary. Guests may bring their own drinks to the dinner (the school does not hold a licence to serve alcohol). Bookings can be made for a minimum of four people.
